Normans Cay Resort is a premier luxury private community within the Exumas, Bahamas; situated in picturesque Normans Cay. Located 1 hour from Opalocka Airport, Normans Cay is constantly evolving and continues to offer the best experiences within our stunning 2,200-acre property.
We are launching Norman’s following our celebrated collaboration at The Surf Club and we have commissioned Joseph Dirand to design the island’s residences. These are a series of villas at the northern sweep of the island, known as The Whale Tail, and a small group of dwellings along the coast near the Marina. Each is carefully positioned to allow for privacy and immersion in the virgin beauty of the wild. They are the founding stone of our project along with the many amenities, marina and all of the infrastructure the goes into creating a “small city” in such a remote place.
Appreciation and preservation of the extraordinary natural setting is paramount in every decision that is made here, and it’s a sensitivity that is felt across the island experience. Sustainability must be a priority at all times. The clubhouse, restaurants, Cabanas, and all front of house operations require a relaxed precision and quiet sophistication as their modus operandi.
Bringing life to Norman’s Cay requires a shared vision and an ideological approach to achieve a common goal. It is a philosophy underpinned by a celebration of the island’s natural charms combined with a respectful commitment to their preservation. The opportunity is to build a community which embraces these ideals and provide the warmest hospitality that can only be found in the Bahamas. This position will be very demanding, but I believe incredibly rewarding.
